Santosh Deemed to be University
In 1995, the Santosh Medical/Dental Colleges and Hospitals came up as one of the top institutions in India to study medicine in Ghaziabad. The university has been offering an MBBS course since 1996 with a total intake of around 50 students per year.
In the same manner, Santosh Dental College started in 1995 with an aim of imparting a higher level education in dentistry. The institution offers a foundation course in BDS since 1996 by accepting about 40 students annually. But the number of admissions went up higher to 100 per year after 2005. It has now become the best university for higher education.
PG Courses:
MD Physiology: The purpose of this program is to standardize Physiology teaching at Post Graduate level and achieve uniformity in undergraduate teaching. Accordingly, the training in M.D. Physiology should be distinctive from that in M.Sc., Ph.D., (Physiology) where the approach to the subject is primarily experimental. Read more
MD Biochemistry: The purpose of this program is to standardize Biochemistry teaching at a post-graduate level so that it benefits in achieving uniformity in undergraduate teaching of the subject. Accordingly, the training in M.D. Biochemistry is distinctive from that in M.Sc., Ph.D., (Biochemistry), where the approach to the subject is primarily experimental.
MD Pathology: The purpose of this program is to standardize Pathology teaching at Post Graduate level in order to achieve uniformity in undergraduate teaching and creating suitable manpower with appropriate expertise.
MD Microbiology: The purpose of this program is to standardize Microbiology teaching at Post Graduate level and achieve uniformity in undergraduate teaching as well. read more
MD Pharmacology: The purpose of this program is to standardize Pharmacology teaching at Post Graduate level and benefit in achieving uniformity in undergraduate teaching as well. MD General Medicine: A postgraduate specialist having undergone the required training should be able to recognize the health needs of the community should be competent to handle effectively medical problems and should be aware of the recent advances pertaining to his specialty. MD Psychiatry: The Postgraduate candidate is needed to acquire knowledge, skills and desirable attitude in the principles and Practice of Psychiatry. Psychology studies the human behaviour. Subjects studied under this degree are Psychology, Biology, Learning Theories, Information Processing – Brain Models of Mind, Experimental Animal Research and Implications for Mental Disorders and Clinical Psychiatry. BDS: Dental graduates during their training at the Dental College will acquire knowledge, skills and develop professional attitudes required to fulfill all activities and responsibilities. The dental practice involves the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of anomalies, also diseases of the teeth, mouth, jaw & associated tissues.
