New Upgraded Amenities in Delta Airlines of its International Flights
Starting this November Delta Airlines will begin offering a whole new upgraded experience for it long-haul (6.5+ hours) international economy class passengers. The new “Main Cabin experience” will include a complimentary “Welcome Aboard” beverage of your choice: a Bellini cocktail (sparkling wine with peach) or bottled water. The upgraded experience will also include hot towel service and enhanced meal options such as mix-in-match appetizers and larger entrees.
Allison Ausband, Delta’s Senior Vice President — In-Flight Service has this to say about the new amenities:
“This is about investing in every single customer who chooses Delta, no matter where they sit on the plane. The thoughtful touches we’re investing in throughout the new Main Cabin experience were designed by flight attendants with one goal in mind — delivering an exceptional experience that our customers will rave about and one that our team, the best in the business, is proud to deliver.”
According to Delta, this new service was developed through a rigorous review process including nearly 14,000 hours of flight time, 1,800 customer surveys, serious crew feedback and the input of 24 flight attendants.
What was once considered first class only amenities, can now be found in economy class. This all a part of the airline’s multi-billion dollar investment in customer experience.
